Inspired partially by America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent we needed a much different model that would take advantage of newer technology acquired recently by our new Business Services unit.

So when we chose to create Chicago's Got Talent we needed and wanted to do it much differently in order to take advantage of the newer technology.

We knew we could provide greater exposure, visibility, and longevity options for contestants by efficiently leveraging Connected TV & advertising along with a different voting model.

Rather than using celebrity judges we chose to use a combination of audience voting, contestant viewing statistics, and advertiser interest levels by contestant, which we feel will be fair and provide a much better overall opportunity for you as a contestant.

You will judged on your talent, originality, and your 'Why' story so everyone has a chance. Get Creative and really show us and the world what you've got. You will get lots of exposure!

Prizes: end of season the Grand Prize winner and the top 3 runners up will win regular spots on the Chicago's Got Talent channel & show and will be featured on several of our other channels.

The Grand prize winner each season will get their own show that will air on several channels and networks.

Sponsors will be selected to provide Prizes and add to Prize money.

Prizes other than our contributions mentioned above will be determined by sponsor contributions and revenues generated.

Since we are on a very tight timeline, in order to kick off Season one of Chicago's Got Talent with a bang we will be awarding the Chicago's Got Talent Season One Grand Finale Winner their own channel in addition to their own show. A 60 minute show is valued at $1,247 at Grand Opening prices.

A channel is priced for Grand Opening at $10,000 on our media page but can be priceless to you as the Grand Prize Winner as it opens up infinite possibilites.

Registration form for auditions is on the < - - - orange tab  and the video submission link will be up soon.

Audition videos should be 5 minutes or less and you will be able to submit up to 3. Content can be different take or a different routine.

You may also submit your 'why' video that gives audiences your 'why.' for entering CGT and explains what it would mean to you to have your own show if you are the season one Grand Prize winner. (15 minutes max)

Note: a release form is required with all submissions and the $25.00 registration fee so we can keep adding to the prizes & prize money.

Video submissions will not be returned, they will be formatted and processed for compliance to standards and may receive minor editing if needed.

If major editing is required you will be notified and an additional editing fee may be required.

Video submissions will be added to channels and shows after processing so they may be streamed and viewed by channel and show audiences worldwide on demand 24 hours a day.

Since this a more labor intensive process than a live audition and it has much more longevity and the potential for much more visibility there will be a minor handling charge for each video upload initially set at:

Audition Videos – $14 each

Upload, process, format, minor edit, prepare for show, add to channels

Why Videos - $23 each

Upload, process, format, minor edit, prepare for show, add to channels

Each video will appear on one or more channels for an indefinite amount of time so show us what you've got and for the season one kick off you can submit as many as you want to increase your exposure, build your audience, and hopefully earn more votes.

Copies of finished video files may be available for purchase in the future.

Audition Tips

Open to non professional performers of all ages with 'G' rated act ideas.

General Tips All Acts

  1) Be original

  2) Don't be boring be entertaining

  3) Stand out from the crowd

  4) Be fearless but no profanity

Dress for Success

Plan an act that would work on a stage in a theater with a large audience.

Have ideas of what you can perform for future rounds of the show.

No profanity. Save it for your Vegas act. We only want to stream G rated content so you'll miss a lot of votes. (the original George Carlin act would pass, not his Vegas act or some later material as good as it was in-spite of his profanity.

Dancers

It is best if you perform to one or two songs for your audition rather than a mix or medley of songs which can be hard to clear for television.

Make sure your choreography is tight and you bring lots of energy. Incorporating tricks and new, unique choreography is always a great way to stand out.

A good way to show your personality and unique style is through your wardrobe or costume. If you are a big group it's always a good idea to dress in your team uniform or another fun costume.

Singers

You want to shine at your audition. You should have a verse and chorus prepared, so please start off with your strongest.

Remember that you can choose any part of the song to perform, so pick the part that best shows off your vocals.

Have a cover song prepared if you choose to sing an original.

Make sure you make your performance your own. We want you to stand out. Maybe it's your unique take on a well-known song. For example, a male auditioning by singing a song typically done by a female singer. It is always a good idea to have more than one song prepared, especially a few different genres or styles.

Further details soon.

We are going to Tell you a Secret; there is no way we can be fully prepared to Premier on September 14, 2022, and we must confess our Executive Producer Joe Dorner admitted that he knew that full well when he suggested that date.

The September 14, 2002 Premier of Season One Will NOT be changed, the show will go on as scheduled, and Mr. Dorner told us why when we questioned him on it, and you are going to like the reason why that he gave us. (we'll tell you later)

UPDATE 2/23

The Premier of Season One has been moved to  2024 which is good news for you if you want to be a contestant since it gives you a full year and more to get gain exposure if you get your videos in now.

   Now  we need to ask you to do us a favor . . . . . . please  . . . . .

Get excited, get prepared, and Spread the word.

You will be glad you did.

Be sure to start working on your audition video plan so you can get in in quickly and benefit from the extra exposure by being in early before the Premier of Season One.

If you have any aspirations for Second City, America's Got Talent, or a Vegas act etc, even though we don't have connections to any of them at this time, we can't see where doing well on Chicago's Got Talent, building an audience and a following in the process can do anything but help you get to wherever it is you want to go.

The early birds don't catch the worm, they catch better exposure, less competition, more visibility, more time to prepare and refine their act, build an audience, and gain voter support, all of which equals a better shot at making the final 5 and ending up as the season one winner. (part of the reason 9-14-22 was originally picked)

Good Luck!

And if you don't win or make the top 5 you'll have time to regroup for season two. (another part of the reason for a premature start)
