Inspired partially by America's Got
Talent and Britain's Got Talent we needed a much different model that would take advantage of newer technology acquired recently by our new Business Services unit.
So when we chose to create Chicago's Got Talent we needed and wanted to do it much differently in order to take advantage of the newer technology.
We knew we could provide greater exposure, visibility, and longevity options for contestants by efficiently leveraging Connected TV & advertising along with a different voting model.
Rather than using celebrity judges we chose to use a combination of audience voting, contestant viewing statistics, and advertiser interest levels by contestant, which we feel will be fair and provide a much better overall opportunity for you as a contestant.

Audition Tips
Open to non professional performers of all ages with 'G' rated act ideas.
General Tips All Acts
1) Be original
2) Don't be
boring be entertaining
3) Stand out from the crowd
4) Be fearless but no profanity
Dress for Success
Plan an act that would work on a stage in a theater with a large audience.
Have ideas of what you can perform for future rounds of the show.
No profanity. Save it for your Vegas act. We only want to stream G rated content so you'll miss a lot of votes. (the original George Carlin act would pass, not his Vegas act or some later material as good as it was in-spite of his profanity.

Dancers
It is best if you perform to one or two songs for your audition rather than a mix or medley of songs which can be hard to clear for television.
Make sure your choreography is tight and you bring lots of energy. Incorporating tricks and new, unique choreography is always a great way to stand out.
A good way to show your personality and unique style is through your wardrobe or costume. If you are a big group it's always a good idea to dress in your team uniform or another fun costume.
Singers
You want to shine at your
audition. You should have a verse and chorus prepared, so please
start off with your strongest.
Remember that you can choose any part
of the song to perform, so pick the part that best shows off your
vocals.
Have a cover song prepared if you choose to sing an original.
Make sure you make your performance your own. We want you to stand out. Maybe it's your unique take on a well-known song. For example, a male auditioning by singing a song typically done by a female singer. It is always a good idea to have more than one song prepared, especially a few different genres or styles.
